Dawn offers a wide variety of storytelling programs that inspire, nourish and delight audiences of all ages.

Drawing from a multi-faceted repertoire of story and song that has been crafted from the wisdom and humor of many traditions – Dawn custom-designs each program to meet the needs and/or theme of each event.

Whether it be folktale, myth, legend, fairytale, classic/contemporary literature, sacred text, or a story crafted from her own life experience – each story offering is lovingly crafted to its deepest potential. Each program is a multi-layered weaving of narrative and song – a singular compelling experience for both individual and community.

Dawn’s performance work celebrates and honors our diversity while connecting us to our common humanity, and sings with the universal voice of the human heart.

Workshops

 “Act-Up! Kids – Theatre Arts Workshop”
Designed for youth ages 6-16, this workshop explores the basics of theatre art with a primary focus on performance skills. Each 6 - 12 week session concludes with a “Bare-Bones Theatre” performance by the workshop participants.

“How Sweet the Sound!”
A workshop designed for congregations and church choirs to explore and enhance the power of communal singing. 

“Story Bones”
An introduction to storytelling available for children, youth, and adult participants.

“Abracadabra!”
Abracadabra, a term of elusive origin, is thought to be translated from the Aramaic as “I will create as I speak”. This workshop focuses on the art of improvisation and its use in storytelling and theatre art.
